EC FFA members on the job

Several East Clinton FFA students competed at Sub District Job Interview at Cedarville High School Nov. 7 and then competed again Nov. 9 at Hillsboro High School.

In the Job Interview contest students have to compete in a mock job interview by filling out a cover letter, making a resume, filling out an application, writing a follow-up letter and going through a mock interview.

Marci Ellis, Carter Carey, Carlie Ellis, Kori Kile, Nathan Vest, Alexia Garen, Sarah, Ross, Matt Horn, Logan McPherson, Veronica Brewer and Shelby Williams competed in the chapter contest.

At Sub-districts, Carter placed second and Marci placed fourth and then Carter advanced to districts where he placed second overall in the Freshman division. Carlie Ellis placed second at sub-districts and Kori Kile was fifth overall.

Carlie advanced and placed firtst at districts in the Sophomore division, qualifying for the State competition.

Logan McPherson placed first in the sub-district contest in the Junior division and then 12th at districts.

Veronica Brewer placed first at sub-districts and Shelby Williams as second overall, with Veronica advancing and placing second in the Senior division at Districts.

The chapter wishes Carlie good luck at State, and a special thanks to Becca Walker and Beth Ellis for judging and helping out.
