BLANCHESTER —A man wanted on multiple charges including domestic violence was arrested Friday by Blanchester police.

At around 4:30 p.m. Friday Ptl. Ian Courtney was on patrol when he recognized a white pickup truck traveling on Wright Street as belonging to a fugitive, said BPD Chief Scott Reinbolt. He said Courtney stopped the truck near Cherry and Wright streets and found the only occupant of the truck to be the driver, who he identified as Carl Cordes, 29, with an “at large” address.

“Cordes is wanted on numerous arrest warrants from the Blanchester Police Department including warrants for domestic violence, multiple counts of violation of a domestic violence protection order and criminal damaging,” said Reinbolt. “He is also wanted by the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office on a felony drug possession warrant. Cordes was placed under arrest and transported to the Clinton County Jail.”

Reinbolt said Cordes will answer the local charges in Clinton County Municipal Court, and he will then be extradited to Clermont County to answer the felony charge.
