Two females were transported to Clinton Memorial Hospital following a Friday afternoon one-vehicle crash on State Route 134 south of Wilmington. A 17-year-old female driver heading northbound reportedly lost control of the vehicle and went off the right side of the road, according to preliminary information at the scene from Trooper James Brooks. The driver then “over-corrected,” said Brooks, and drove off the left side of the roadway where the car overturned. A male passenger in the back seats did not require medical treatment at the scene, but was arrested on a separate warrant. The nature or extent of the injuries to the females was not immediately known, but a medical helicopter on standby was canceled. The driver, Brooks believes, is from Cincinnati.
