Projects planned for city parks Saturday

WILMINGTON — Make a Difference Day is a national day of volunteering, projected to bring more than a million volunteers out into their communities to add capacity in a multitude of ways.

Locally, the Wilmington City Parks and Wilmington College are organizing projects, with opportunities for all ages and abilities on Saturday, Oct. 24 from 9 a.m. to noon at Xidas Park and Stuckey Farm Park.

The Wilmington Parks and Recreation Department will provide the tools necessary.
