Lions honor WHS students

At the April 16 Lions Club meeting 14 Wilmington High School students were recognized for their outstanding accomplishments for the 2017-2018 school term. This is the 45th year the Lions have recognized outstanding Wilmington High school students. The tradition was started by deceased Lion Jim Knowles in 1973. The students each received a certificate and a Lions logo pen. From left are Lion Kathey Carroll, Guidance Counselor Kelli Sanders, students Faith Sanderson, Christopher Walls, Heather Fryman, Aaron Lightle, Brendan Bell, Garrett Regan, Samantha Burns, Andrew Moyer, Morgan Bahr, Matt Smith, Amanda Milburn, and Jackson Tofte, Principal Stephanie Walker and Lion Jamie Knowles. Students Seth Gundlach and Sarah Creditt were unable to attend.
