Remembering the fallen

Memorial Day 2018 in Wilmington was commemorated with the annual parade followed by a ceremony at Sugar Grove Cemetery on M0nday morning. Local veterans and residents attended the event which included American Legion, VFW and Auxiliary members including guest speaker George Monroe and the gun salute, the playing of the National Anthem and “Taps” by members of the Wilmington High School Band, and the placing of memorial wreaths.
