WILMINGTON — Cheerleading tryouts were recently held at Wilmington College. Three new graduates in the Wilmington High School Class of 2018 will be cheering at the college beginning this fall.

The three are Brittany Gregory, Lauren Hall and Katie Jones.

“Our tryout consisted of a cheer, a sideline chant, dance routine, jumps, and any tumbling skills we may have,” Hall explained.

The three cheerleaders are excited for the opportunity to learn how to complete stunts, a new skill for them.

Brittany Gregory, a daughter of Brett and Tammy Gregory, will be majoring in early childhood education. Lauren Hall, a daughter of Casey Stickle and Rick Hall, will be a business major. And Katie Jones, a daughter of Kristi Jones, will be a middle childhood education major.
