WMS students learn at Cincinnati Zoo

WILMINGTON — The seventh-grade students at Wilmington Middle School recently had the opportunity to explore the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens to investigate biomes and feeding relationships among organisms, design short experiments to collect observations, data, and research to reach an experimental outcome, and to identify areas of world geography.

In addition. this experience allowed students to connect and apply information they learned in the classroom to the real world.

This trip, along with all the WMS field trips this year, were funded by the Wilmington Schools Foundation grant program.

Donations to the Foundation Grant program can be sent to WSF, 341 S. Nelson Ave., Wilmington, OH 45177.

These are awarded on an annual basis and are among the primary efforts of the WSF.
