WGC flower show set for June 20

WILMINGTON — Everyone who grows flowers is invited to exhibit their best at this summer’s flower show, Wednesday, June 20.

Entries will be accepted 9 a.m.-noon at the First Christian Church in Wilmington, and the show time for judging will begin at 1 p.m.

Horticultural categories are: Roses, Annuals, Biennials/Perennials, Hemerocallis (daylily), Lillium, Gladiolus, Hostas, Ornamental Leaves, Shrubs, Container Grown Plants, and Special Containers (such as terrariums or fairy gardens).

In addition to the plant varieties above, floral arrangements may be entered in the special Artistic Design category. This year’s Artistic Design theme is “Bee Friendly.”

This flower show is open to the public. Entry tags will be available at the door.

Barb Myers, from the Ohio Association of Garden Clubs (OAGC), is the official judge.
