Chapter F, PEO recently honored the local PEO Ohio Scholars and announced the recipient of the “Jean L. Heiland, Louise Linton, Marjorie L. Diebel Scholarship.”

PEO, an organization that supports women’s education, has been active in Wilmington since Chapter F’s formation in 1925 and has been awarding a local scholarship to the top female graduate from Wilmington High School since 1935.

The recipient of this year’s “Jean L. Heiland, Louise Linton, Marjorie L. Diebel Scholarship”, graduating from Wilmington High School, is Abigail Tackett. Abigail plans to attend Miami University where she will major in biology with the goal of getting into med school upon graduation from Miami.

The scholarship is in loving memory of Chapter F sister Jean Linton Heiland, her mother Louise Linton and Jean’s sister Marjorie Linton Diebel, who were all faithful and active P.E.O.’s. Chapter F is pleased to continue to have a close relationship with Jean’s family, especially with her daughter, Becky Heiland Haines.

The Ohio Scholarship is sponsored by The Ohio Chapter of P.E.O. Chapter F is pleased to announce the recipients sponsored by Chapter F of this year’s Ohio Scholarship: Bailey Hudson, a 2015 Clinton-Massie graduate entering her senior year at Ohio Northern University; Allison Brooks, a 2017 graduate of Wilmington High School entering her sophomore year at Ashland University; and Sabrina Bowman, a 2018 graduate of Wilmington High School who will be a freshman at Cedarville University.

Chapter F congratulates all of the 2018 scholarship recipients.
