Back-to-school theme at Farmers Market

WILMINGTON — The Clinton County Summer Farmers Market located on Mulberry Street between Main and Locust streets in downtown Wilmington continues 8:30 a.m.-noon Saturday.

The Market features seasonal produce, local grown meats (beef and pork), farm fresh eggs, homemade baked goods, herbs, and artisan crafts such as pottery, jewelry, alpaca fiber products and more.

Kids’ Club for all children ages 5-12. Each time a member of the Kids’ Club visits the Market they will receive $2 Kids Tokens to buy fresh seasonal vegetables and fruits. Double Your Bucks for SNAP recipients up to $10 per market.

It’s also “Back-to-School and Teacher Appreciation Day at the Market.”

Young’s Dairy will be on-site with their homemade ice creams, cheese curds, and panini sandwiches.

There will be reading time for children with Lois Hackney. Teachers from Clinton County who present their school ID will receive a free $5 token from the market staff courtesy of the support of the local OFB.

The Market will be collecting school supplies for the four county schools.

Anyone donating at least two school items will be entered into a drawing for a market bag filled with items from the vendors worth at least $160; one raffle ticket for every two school items donated.
