CC Flea Market re-brand, free parking Saturday

Caesar Creek Flea Market is offering free parking admission Saturday, Sept. 8 to celebrate the opening of new markets: Homestead Charm, Your Community Store, and the Man Cave.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. outside of Building #1 with the Wilmington-Clinton County Chamber of Commerce.

Families and bargain hunters are invited to enjoy live music, door prizes every 30 minutes, and free popcorn. The flea market will be open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday.

“At our markets, we are all about giving people the chance to form in-person connections in an increasingly digital world,” said Al Bell, president and CEO of parent company Levin Service Co. “Families deserve a place to make memories and have a great time hunting for a deal beyond shopping online.”

The re-brand opening is another phase of Bell’s strategic plan to revitalize the market. While Caesar Creek Flea Market has served shops and shoppers for over 25 years, a fire in 2012 dramatically impacted business operations and a slow reopening failed to raise the public’s awareness of recovery efforts.

“Some of our shops have been here for over 20 years. They are savvy business owners and want to know what we are going to do to help them be successful,” Bell said. “Our goal now is to make it once again the best place for shops to have their booths. Our primary focus will be on bringing in more shoppers and keeping them coming back again and again.”

So far this year, Caesar Creek Flea Market has received anywhere from 4,000 to 6,000 shoppers and Bell envisions events like the re-brand opening will bring anywhere from 10,000 to 12,000 customers each weekend.
