WILMINGTON — The Murphy Theatre, in its 100th season of entertaining, announced the upcoming audition of its annual Christmas show.

“We’re looking for community members from 5 to 105 years of age,” said Director Timothy Larrick. “All are welcome!”

Audition dates and times for “Murphy’s Christmas Carols!” are set for 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22 and 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23.

No preparation required. Kids and parents need to fill out the audition form, as well as the adults.

Adults should come prepared to go through a movement audition.

“We are looking for many performers to fill the cast of this Christmas musical extravaganza,” said Larrick. “Come and join in the fun!“

The Christmas show will be performed Friday and Saturday, Dec. 7 and 8 at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 8 and 9 at 2 p.m.

Ticket prices will be $10 for students, $12 for adults and $22 for box seats, plus standard ticketing fees apply.
