Family fun, zombie run at Laurel Oaks Fall Fest

WILMINGTON — Family fun and a zombie run are the order of the day at the Fall Fest at Laurel Oaks Career Campus on Saturday, Oct. 6.

From 3-5:30 p.m., enjoy carnival games, face painting, health screenings, crafts, free hotdogs, pumpkin chuckin’ and more.

A cruise-in from 4-6 p.m. will feature classic cars from around the area. Then, kick off Halloween early with trunk or treat at 5:30 p.m., followed by a 5K zombie run at 6:30 p.m.

In the zombie run, participants will try to reach the last plane out of Laurel Oaks while running through buildings, across parking lots, and through grass while evading zombies.

Most events are free; the zombie run is a benefit for Laurel Oaks student organizations. Cruise-in participants should bring candy for the trunk or treat.
