WILMINGTON — Two people were arrested — with charges expected against others — after a search warrant was served at 139 A St. Monday night by the Wilmington-Clinton County Combined SWAT Team following an investigation into alleged drug-related crimes.

According to Wilmington Police Chief Duane Weyand, during a search several items associated with drug trafficking, possession of drugs (methamphetamine) and drug abuse were located inside this residence. Drug-related items will be sent to the Miami Valley Crime Lab for analysis.

“Once those items have been positively identified, criminal charges will be pursued against several subjects associated with the residence,” he said.

Weyand said the two suspects arrested were:

• Dominic Melvin, 34, of Wilmington, on outstanding warrants through the Wilmington Police Department and the Ohio Adult Parole Authority.

• Miranda Lund, 22, of Wilmington, on outstanding warrants from Montgomery County for drug-related crimes.

Both subjects were transported to the Clinton County Jail, Weyand said.

The WPD incident report states that report had received several tips from citizens in the area concerning criminal activity, and that the residence does not have electricity or running water.
