Legion riders present check

American Legion Riders from American Legion Post 49 recently presented an $800 check to City of Wilmington Parks and Recreation Director, Lori Kersey Williams, to cover the cost of restoring the large World War II bronze memorial plaque in J. W. Denver Williams Jr. Memorial Park. The two-sided memorial, located near the flag pole, honors Clinton Countians who made the ultimate sacrifice in World War II.
