WILMINGTON — The Scioto Valley Brass & Percussion Company based in Columbus will perform a Veterans Day Tribute at the historic Murphy Theatre at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11.

The group will perform a full-length two-hour concert, featuring classics, jazz, and patriotic tunes, including “Amazing Grace”, “Fanfare for the Common Man”, “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy”, “Salvation is Created”, “God Bless America”, and many more.

The Scioto Valley Brass & Percussion Company was formed in 1993 to provide an opportunity for adult brass players and percussionists in the central Ohio area to entertain audiences with brass band concerts in the tradition of the British brass bands of 100 years ago.

The group performs under the direction of Dr. Christopher Hoc, the director of The Ohio State University Marching and Athletic Bands, and Assistant Professor, Conducting and Ensembles at The Ohio State University School of Music.

Tickets for the concert are free, but must be reserved or printed in advance. Order online at www.themurphytheatre.org or call the theatre at 937-382-3643. Limit is eight tickets per person.

The event is sponsored by Ohio Living Cape May and the Murphy Theatre.
