WILMINGTON – CMH Regional Health System is teaming up with Community Blood Center to host its monthly community blood drive for whole blood, platelet and plasma donors Wednesday, Nov. 14 from noon to 6:30 p.m. in the upstairs conference room next to the cafeteria, 610 West Main St., Wilmington.

Everyone who registers to donate will get the special edition “Get in the Game For Life” football t-shirt. Schedule an appointment online at or call 1-800-388-GIVE.

The CMH Regional Health monthly blood drive includes apheresis machines for platelet and plasma donations. Platelets are blood cells that help control bleeding. Plasma is the fluid component that helps maintain blood pressure. Both are vital to the treatment of cancer, organ transplant, burn, and trauma patients.

New platelet donors are in high demand, especially those with blood types A, AB, or B-positive. Find out more at or talk to an apheresis specialist at 937-461-3220.

Donors can park in the visitors’ parking lot and enter through the main entrance on the lower level. Welcome desk volunteers can direct you to the upstairs conference room.
