Clinton County Common Pleas felony crimes court report

WILMINGTON — The following report is compiled from a criminal case disposition report provided by the Clinton County Clerk of Courts. The following cases were tried in Clinton County Court of Common Pleas, presided over by Judge John W. “Tim” Rudduck and his magistrates. Common Pleas handles felony criminal cases.

The defendant’s name, village or city of residence, crime, degree of felony and sentence are provided by the report. Felonies are ranked from F1 (most serious) to F5 (least serious). Defendants found guilty also must pay court costs, but those amounts aren’t included in the disposition report.

The following were sentenced from Nov. 5-20:

• Gregory Smith, 29, of Wilmington, aggravated trafficking in drugs (F3), two counts illegal assembly or possession of drugs (F2 and F3), sentenced 7 years prison (credited for 1,344 days incarcerated), community controls revoked.

• Jessica Stroup, 21, of Cincinnati, two counts theft (F5) and failure to appear (F4), sentenced nine months prison (credit for 44 days incarcerated), $1,500 restitution to two parties. Other charges of grand theft, theft of drugs, attempted burglary and two counts burglary were dismissed.

• Keith Jamison, 22, of Blanchester, aggravated possession of drugs (F5), sentenced nine months prison (credit for 13 days incarcerated), operator’s license suspended for six months, contraband forfeited. A misdemeanor charge of falsification was dismissed.

• Kendra Allemond, 34, of Wilmington, aggravated possession of drugs (F5), sentenced six months prison (credit for 27 days incarcerated; remainder suspended), contraband forfeited, operator’s license suspended for six months.

• Patsy Cody, 27, of Wilmington, trafficking in cocaine (F4), sentenced six months prison (credit for 2 days incarcerated).

• Ryan Hatley, 33, of Blanchester, theft of drugs (F4), sentenced 10 months prison (credit for 29 days incarcerated).

• Derrick Spurlock, 27, of Hillsboro, trafficking in heroin (F5), sentenced six months prison (credit for two days incarcerated; remainder suspended), one year community controls, operator’s license suspended for six months. Another charge of trafficking in heroin was dismissed.

• Mellason Yeary, 44, of Wilmington, aggravated trafficking in drugs (F5), intervention-in-lieu-of-conviction granted, sentencing and criminal proceedings stayed. Other charges of aggravated trafficking in drugs and two counts trafficking in heroin were dismissed.

• Jesse Doyle, 47, of Wilmington, trafficking in marijuana (F5), sentenced six months prison (credit for two days incarcerated; remainder suspended), two years community controls, operator’s license suspended. Three other charges of trafficking in marijuana were dismissed.

• Curtis Dixon, 35, of Wilmington, trafficking in marijuana (F4) and attempted robbery (F4), sentenced two years prison (credit for 86 days incarcerated), operator’s license suspended for one year. Other charges of possession of marijuana, possession of criminal tools, robbery, unauthorized use of a vehicle and assault were dismissed.

• Edwin Daley, 25, of Bethel, failure to comply (F3), sentenced six months prison (credit for 23 days incarcerated; remainder suspended), three years community control, operator’s license suspended for three years.
