Blan FFA enjoys time with PALS

0

The Blanchester FFA held its monthly PALS on Nov. 14. PALS is an initiative by the national FFA organization that stands for Partners in Active Learning Support that aims to mentor younger students and serve in a role model position as they learn about agriculture.

Locally, fourth-graders from the intermediate school come to the high school once a month to do a hands-on agriculture-based activity and enjoy a snack.

Thirty students were present at this month’s PALS. They made crafts along with learning about Thanksgiving traditions. They made pine cone turkeys and learned about turkeys in honor of Thanksgiving.

They also made the pine cone turkeys by tracing their hands and hot gluing them to the pine cone then hot glued eyes and pipe cleaner beaks.
