Fire crews battle blaze

CLARKSVILLE — Five fire departments were involved in fighting a blaze on Clarksville Road in Warren County on Friday.

The Clinton-Warren Joint Fire District responded to the single-story house fire around 9:17 a.m., and received mutual aid from the fire departments of Wilmington and Chester Township of Clinton County and Morrow and Salem Township of Warren County.

Clinton-Warren Fire Chief Bob Wysong advised they were told there were possible inhabitants, but only two dogs were found. One was rescued, the other had died.

No cause had been determined yet.

Firefighters were checking the structure of the building to make sure there were no hidden fires. Wysong added that the ceiling was difficult to check due the metal roof
