For the eighth consecutive year, Outstanding Women of Clinton County is offering scholarships to college-bound young women from Clinton County.

Administered by the Outstanding Women of Clinton County Committee and the Clinton County Foundation, $1,500 scholarships will be awarded to each of four outstanding young women planning to attend a community college, a technical school, or a four-year college or university.

Graduating seniors from Blanchester, East Clinton, Clinton Massie, and Wilmington High Schools, as well as home-schoolers from these county school districts are eligible to apply. Each applicant must have attained a 3.5 grade point average or the 75th percentile on the ACT or SAT college admission exams along with demonstrated academic and community service accomplishments.

Scholarship funds may be used for tuition, room and board, books, and other supplies.

Interested students should apply online at www.outstandingwomenclintoncounty.org by Jan. 8, 2016. Scholarship recipients will be notified in late February and honored at the annual OWCC Awards Ceremony and Luncheon on March 5.
