The East Clinton Project TRUST campers couldn’t have asked for better weather Feb. 13-15.

After the November camp had to be postponed due to ice and power outages, the ECPT team was grateful for the sunshine as 34 middle school students attended the experience at Camp Kern.

These kids were exposed to several team-building activities and adventures.

This camp focuses on promoting respect and understanding for all people. The kids learn about the negative impacts of bullying and are equipped with tools/strategies need to put a stop to bullying in their school.

Project TRUST shares stories about people impacted by bullying including letters from a book titled “Letters to a Bullied Girl” by Olivia Gardner.

Words can carry a great deal of power. This camp is meant to encourage kids to “be nice out there!”

Special thanks for helping fund this camp goes out to Peoples Bank. Campers and counselors saw reduced camp fees this year thanks to a grant awarded by Peoples Bank.

Charming fundraiser

EC Project TRUST will be teaming up with Rome Jewelers (Wilmington and Hillsboro) in an effort to support the 2019-20 TRUST camps.

Soon Rome Jewelers will be selling “EC ASTROS” Pandora charms. For each charm sold, Rome Jewelers will be donating $25 to East Clinton Project TRUST. Contact Rome Jewelers for details at 937-382-3646.
