Wilmington College New Student Orientation and Main Street Wilmington invite the community to “O-Town” Thursday, August 20.
O-Town is a free annual event where local businesses and organizations introduce themselves to incoming freshmen and transfer students and their families. During O-Town, businesses and organizations distribute informational fliers, hand out coupons, host activities, and hand out college-appropriate promotional items.
This event will take place on Collett Mall 10 a.m.-2 p.m.under the large tents. Wilmington College will again strongly encourage its students to buy, eat, play, worship, and live locally in Clinton County.
O-Town provides a chance to make a good first (and hopefully lasting) impression on the incoming students and their family members, who could become loyal customers to and participants of your local business/organization.
In addition to O-Town, you may also register to participate in the campus welcome bags by providing “bag stuffers.” The final opportunity for your involvement is the Downtown WalkAbout and Welcome Party at the Mural.
If you are interested in welcoming the Class of 2019 to the campus and community, fill out the registration form and submit it no later than Friday, July 31.
Those interested in providing bag stuffers should provide 400 items of your choice no later than Friday, August 10. Call 937-382-6661, ext. 305 or 306 if you have any questions or concerns about the details of O-Town or the Fall Orientation program.
