WILMINGTON — The Clinton County Board of Developmental Disabilities Early Intervention team recognized Patri-Tots Learning Center — located at Southern State Community College in Wilmington — for their collaboration with families and agencies.

CCBDD appreciates Patri-Tots for embracing and encouraging children of all abilities. The teachers are always willing to help, and they ask questions and show interest in learning about strategies and other means of helping all children grow.

The CCBDD EI staff feel welcome when at the learning center. One staff member said, “There is true team collaboration involving us and our ideas. If there is a concern, the Patri-Tots staff express it to us in a genuine manner, willing to find a solution.”

The CCBDD EI team provides services to children with developmental delays in the family’s natural environment which at times may be provided in a child care facility due to the parents’ work schedules. Early Intervention builds on and provides supports and resources to assist family members and caregivers to enhance their children’s learning and development through everyday learning opportunities.

March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month. If you have questions about our services or would like to make a referral, please call 937-382-5899 or visit www.co.clinton.oh.us/boardofdd .
