WILMINGTON — The Wilmington-Clinton County Chamber of Commerce and the Clinton County Regional Planning Commission invite members of the community to join them and the 2019 Clinton Community Fellows at the Economic Network Alliance on Thursday, Aug. 1 at 8 a.m. at the Hampton Inn & Suites at 201 Holiday Drive.

Alex Hudson, Lindsey Murphy and Ariana Riccardi will be presenting about their work this summer with various community organizations and small businesses, including Age-Friendly Clinton County, CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), the Clinton County Convention & Visitors Bureau, the Clinton County Historical Society, Friends Caring for Cowan Lake State Park, Lil’ Traders, and Papsy’s Place.

Hudson, Murphy and Riccardi are college students with a connection to the community. Hudson is a graduate of Clinton-Massie High School, Murphy is a graduate of Wilmington High School, and Riccardi is a student at Wilmington College.

The program allows them to gain professional experience while giving back to their community. Since 2009, the Clinton Community Fellows program has hosted 32 young adults who have contributed more than 13,000 hours to over 80 projects in the local community.

The Fellows are a program of Energize Clinton County, the Clinton County Regional Planning Commission, and the Wilmington-Clinton County Chamber of Commerce.

“Ten years on, the Fellows program continues to offer a unique and beneficial opportunity for some of our best and brightest young professionals while also provide service and support in the community,” said Taylor Stuckert, Executive Director of the Clinton County Regional Planning Commission. “It truly is a win-win program for Clinton County.”

The Economic Network Alliance is an initiative of the Regional Planning Commission and the Chamber of Commerce. Meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month at the Hampton Inn & Suites, with a featured speaker (beginning at 8 a.m.) and time for networking with local business and community leaders.

Breakfast is provided courtesy of the Hampton.
