First State Bank breaks ground on future site in Wilmington

The News Journal Advertising staff congratulates the First State Bank team, which broke ground Wednesday morning at the future site of their Wilmington Banking Center at 1584 Rombach Ave. Construction will begin in fall and the building is expected to be completed by spring. Currently, the bank is located at 832 Rombach Ave. in the Donatos Plaza and is staffed by Wilmington residents Joshua Martin, banking center manager, and Danielle Cochran, customer service representative. Scott Holmer, Doug Henry and Amy Hamilton continue to lead business development. The Wilmington banking center recently began accepting deposits. In addition to its lending products and services, the bank will now accept loan payments and offers a wide array of personal and business checking and savings accounts options. “Over the last two years we have had the opportunity to grow our business in Clinton County and build relationships in the community,” said Mike Pell, President and CEO of First State Bank. “We are very excited to continue our commitment to Wilmington by building a full-service banking center to serve local residents.”
