WILMINGTON — Wilmington Savings Bank has named Robert S. Grant its new President and Chief Executive Officer.

Grant, a 30-year banking veteran, has been with Wilmington Savings since 2013 as the Chief Financial Officer.

He said that he is grateful for the opportunity.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed my tenure as CFO at Wilmington Savings, which has afforded me the opportunity to better know the community and the local businesses that we serve” Grant said.

“The management team and I both look forward to continuing to serve and support the financial needs of the community as the only locally owned financial institution in Wilmington.

“Our bank has been a financial cornerstone of the community for more than 128 years and I am honored to be a part of such a respected and established institution,” he added.

Grant holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Akron, an MBA from Cleveland State University, and is a graduate of the American Bankers Association Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Georgetown University.
