The chapter secretary is Jasmine Maloney. Jakob Hockett is the treasurer, and gave the treasurer’s report on the chapter’s current financial standing.

The committee reports consisted of reports on PALS, given by President Kaitlyn Smithson; a report about the upcoming motivational speaker, Judson Laipply, given by Vice President of Community Lindsay Shell, and a report on the garden production given by Anna Tobler.

The chapter moved that 20 students be taken to National FFA convention this year. The next new item of business was to move to form a committee for FFA Football Night on Friday, Sept. 11. This night will promote the Blanchester FFA with different activities, a petting zoo and a tractor display.

The next item of business was to create a homecoming festival committee. This committee will help set up the chapter’s part of the festival in Blanchester on Oct. 3 by organizing displays to promote FFA.

An upcoming trip for first-year students, Greenhand Camp, was discussed. Some of the older members told stories and opinions on their experiences when they went.

The meeting was followed by a post-meeting activity, a back to school cookout, corn hole and flag football.
