Christmas Eve at Church of Christ

You are invited to the Wilmington Church of Christ on Christmas Eve for services at 2:30 p.m., 4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. at the church at 909 W. Locust St.

Nursery through Pre-K childcare will be provided.

Cantata at Sabina UMC

The cantata “Sing a Song of Christmas” by Michael Barrett and Joseph Martin will be performed at 11 p.m. on Christmas Eve at the Sabina United Methodist Church.

Piano accompanist is Paul Shivers and cantata soloist is Barbara Beam. Narrator is Ian Hackman and director/accompanist is Barbara Briggs. The SUMC Handbell Choir will also perform with arrangements by Linda Lamb, Bill Ingram and Brian Tervo.

Traditional candle-lighting and congregational singing of “Silent Night” will be followed by Neil Gilmore singing “The Lord’s Prayer.”

The community is welcome to attend.

Beech Grove sets play

Beech Grove Free Will Baptist Church will be having its Christmas play after Sunday School Dec. 22 at 11 a.m. A pot luck dinner will be served afterward. (There will be no p.m. service).

Come hear the children present the Christmas story. Everyone is welcome at the church at 3124 SR 730, Wilmington.

Candlelight at Jonah’s Run

Jonah’s Run Baptist Church invites everyone to the 181st Annual Candlelight Service at the church at 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 22 featuring Christmas hymn singing and musicians and soloists performing special Christmas music.

Guest Pastor Jordan Atkinson of Friendship Baptist Church will bring the beloved Christmas message of Hope, Peace, and Love. Fellowship and refreshments follow the ceremony.

Jonah’s Run Church, an affiliate of the American Baptist Assn., is at 9614 SR 73 West (2 miles west of I-71).
