WILMINGTON — First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) at 120 Columbus St. is excited to announce Rev. Connor L. Thompson as its new interim minister.

Rev. Thompson’s first worship service at First Christian will be Sunday, November 6 at 10:30 a.m.

A soup luncheon will be held after the service to welcome him to our church and the community. If you are planning to attend the luncheon, please RSVP to the church office at 937-382-2251.

The Middletown native is a fourth-generation Disciple and a commissioned minister. He previously served as the senior pastor at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Middletown.

He is a graduate of Miami University where he studied Nonprofit and Community Studies, and he is currently enrolled in the Master of Divinity program at Lexington Theological Seminary.

An Eagle Scout and recipient of the Summit Award for Venturing, Rev. Thompson is active in the Boy Scouts of America and has served in multiple leadership and volunteer positions throughout Warren and Butler counties, including serving as Camp Chaplain at Camp Friedlander. He has also been an active member of Kiwanis International.
