McKay deserves vote for county recorder

It is my great privilege to support Jonathan McKay for Clinton County Recorder.

Jonathan is equipped by experience, education, and heritage to serve in this most important of governmental functions, namely the preservation and maintenance of county land records. He understands the importance of the job from his past employment with Kersey Real Estate and Auction Co. and Wilmington Savings Bank. His impressive record of service includes Wilmington City Council for three terms, the Board of Trustees of Wilmington College, the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce, and the Republican Central Committee. His integrity is unquestioned.

With degrees from Wilmington High School, and from Ohio Dominican College in History and Politics, Jonathan is an effective communicator. His natural instinct to serve will enable him to work well with the other offices in the courthouse.

As if all of this were not enough, the McKays were among the first to come to Clinton County, when in the late 1700s their ancestor received land in return for Revolutionary War service. It follows that Jonathan McKay has, since his early days, appreciated the importance of land records in Clinton County.

He will serve with excellence. The county is fortunate to have such a qualified candidate. I urge citizens of Clinton County to cast their votes for Jonathan McKay.
