Thankful for the Murphy Theatre

Approximately 200 women from across the area celebrated the first annual Soul Sisters Conference on Saturday, Oct. 3. This stirring, one-day event featured keynote speaker Dr. Joy Fagan, founder of faith-based outreaches to hurting, addicted, trafficked, and needy women. The day began with a lovely breakfast buffet followed by joyous praise and worship, inspirational and healing teaching from Dr. Fagan, as well as 14 breakout sessions — all led by local women!

Many volunteers worked behind the scenes to create and launch Soul Sisters for the purpose of uniting, edify, and equipping Christian women to reach out to our community to provide support, resources and mentoring.

The Soul Sisters planning team would like to specifically thank the director of the Murphy Theatre, Maretta Alden, and her excellent technical staff for supporting the event. Deep appreciation is extended to Dan and Marla Stewart for hours spent cleaning, painting, polishing and preparing for our arrival.
