Goshen wins volleyball marathon at Wilmington

WILMINGTON — The Wilmington High School volleyball team lost a wild match Tuesday with Goshen 25-15, 25-23, 23-25, 23-25, 9-15 at Fred Summers Court.

Wilmington is 13-5 overall and 4-5 in the division. Goshen goes to 11-8 overall and 5-4 in the American.

Lisbon Smith had four kills, two assists, an ace, nine digs and a block. Jena Rhoads had two assists, an ace and a team-best 19 digs. Lexus Reiley had a block while Banesa Morales finished with five kills, an assist, two aces, six digs and a block.

Sydney McCord had four kills, two aces, four digs and five blocks. Caroline Diels had 15 kills, 27 assists, an ace, eight digs and two blocks. Ashley Delph had five kills, a dig and five blocks. Brynn Bryant contributed 19 kills, 18 assists, five aces, nine digs and two blocks.

Madison Hornsby of Goshen had 16 kills.
