Williams, Moyer, Hensley have strong meets at Mason


MASON — The Wilmington High School girls swim team finished ninth and Clinton-Massie 11th Saturday at the Mason Invitational.

The Massie boys were 11th.

Cincinnati St. Xavier won the boys meet while Lebanon won the girls meet. Mason was second in both.

Bryce Hensley had a solid meet for the Massie boys, finishing 12th in the 200 free (2:18.76) and 13th in the 100 free (60.05). The Massie boys 200 free relay team was eighth in 1:53.77.

On the girls side, Bailey Moyer of Wilmington and Bailee Williams of Clinton-Massie placed in two events. Williams was 8th (64.35) and Moyer 11th (65.76) in the 100 free. Williams also was 11th in the 200 free in 2:22.52 while Moyer was 13th in the 50 free in 28.92 seconds.

The Wilmington girls 200 medley relay finished seventh (2:20.65) and the 200 free relay was eighth (2:05.5).
