Basketball Final: Felicity 67 East Clinton 47

FELICITY — East Clinton struggled early in a 67-47 loss Friday to Felicity in SBAAC National Division boys basketball action at the FHS gym.

The Astros trailed by 14 after one and then were outscored 14-4 in the second period which led to a 38-14 halftime deficit.

Landon Runyon scored 14 of his game-high 16 points in the 10second half. He had seven points in both the third and fourth quarters.

East Clinton falls to 3-5 on the year and goes to 0-4 in the National Division.

Felicity is 4-3 overall and 3-2 in conference games.

Carson Crozier and Nathan Baker had 14 points for each for the Cardinals, who hit on 24 of 32 free throws. Garrett Taulbee led the way by making all six of his attempts at the line.

East Clinton countered with a 3 for 11 performance at the line but none came until the final period when the outcome had been decided.

Baker got the Cardinals off a running by hitting a trio of three-pointers in the first period for a 24-10 lead.
