Girls Basketball Final: Blanchester 50 Ripley 44

The Blanchester girls basketball team held off Ripley 50-44 Wednesday night in non-league action.

Coach Pete Jackson said his team got off to a slow start and led by just three points at halftime.

The lead grew in the third, Jackson said, before the Ladycats led by as many as 22 in the fourth quarter.

Torie Potts led Blanchester with 14 points and nine rebounds. Ainsley Whitaker had another double-double for BHS with 12 points and a game-high 14 rebounds.

Kaylee Coyle had six points with Emma Winemiller added five. Maddie Tipton scored four points, Grace Irwin three, Lacie Tedrick three, Macey Waldron two and Olivia Potts one.
