GREENFIELD — East Clinton finished fifth Monday at the Southern Hills Community Bank Invitational at McClain High School.

Cooper Rack went 5-0 to claim the championship at 138 pounds. He had two pins and a technical fall en route to the title.

“Cooper had a really good day, capping it off with his first high school championship,” EC coach Doug Stehlin said. “As a team, we did well. We moved around all day between third and fifth (place). Final round hurt us a bit and shows we have some more work to do.”

Christopher Rider was runnerup at 126 pounds and Owens Roberts finished second at 190 pounds.

Curtis Singleton was third at 144 and Jade Griffith finished fifth at 215 pounds. Conner Morris did not place in the 175-pound weight class but did pick up his first varsity win, coach Stehlin said.
