WILMINGTON — Wilmington won a couple wrestling matches Wednesday evening at the middle school gym.

The Hurricane defeated Blanchester 48-6 and Wyoming 50-18. Blanchester lost to Turpin 21-15.

Plenty of forfeits dotted the bout sheets for all four teams.

Cadyn Denniston was the only Hurricane wrestler to have two matches, winning both at 144 pounds. He decisioned Nick Musselman of Blanchester 4-3 and Brayden McLean of Wyoming 14-8.

Hunter Smith of Blanchester had two triumphant matches, pinning Darius Stewart of WHS in 1:59 and Luke Ciminillo of Turpin in 31 seconds.
