The Blanchester junior varsity girls basketball team defeated Western Brown 26-24 Monday.

The young Ladycats won the game with the help of a 7-0 second quarter, erasing a 9-4 deficit, coach Bob Reveal said.

Kylee Hamm led Blanchester with 12 points while Emily Koch scored six.

Destiny Blankenbeckler and Desiree Abbott scored three points each. Maddie Gillman had two points.
