Mya, Pirates moving on to WNIT Final Four

Mya Jackson and her Seton Hall University teammates have advanced to the WNIT Final Four.

The Pirates defeated Columbia 78-75 Monday night in a WNIT quarterfinal game.

Seton Hall will play at Middle Tennessee State 7:30 p.m. Thursday. The championship game is set for Saturday.

The other Final Four matchup has UCLA playing South Dakota State Thursday night.

In the win over Columbia, Jackson had nine points, including a key three-pointer late in the game. She was 4 for 4 from the field.

Jackson scored 2,033 points in her career at Wilmington High School. She is the WHS and Clinton County all-time leading scorer for girls basketball. She ranks fourth overall among all scorers behind Brayden Sipple (2,485), Jarron Cumberland (2,408) and Donnie Fields (2,135).
