BLACKLICK, Ohio — Led by Clinton-Massie graduate Gabby Woods, the University of Findlay women’s golf team, for the fourth time this spring, were tournament champions.

The Oilers finished in first place at the NC4K College Classic, which wrapped up Tuesday at Jefferson Country Club, hosted by Ohio Dominican University.

The Oilers shot 13-over par (301, 288) to take top honors. Notably, the seventh ranked Oilers dominated against region foe and 11th ranked University of Indianapolis, winning by 25 strokes.

Leading the Oilers was sophomore Gabby Woods, who captured the individual title. Woods finished at even par after rounds of 74, 70. She carded two bogeys, two birdies, an eagle, and 13 pars in her final round.

Woods has not finished outside the top five this spring. With her win at JCC, Woods captured her second title of the spring and the third title of her career. Since 2010, no UF sophomore has racked up more tournament wins than Woods.

Since March, no team or individual has beaten the University of Findlay women’s golf team.

The Oilers will be back in action Apr. 11-12 for the Cav Classic in Canton.
