Comets blast off in 25-1 win over Wilmington College

BEXLEY — The Wilmington College men’s lacrosse team (2-13, 0-7) fell to the Capital University Comets (7-7, 4-3) 25-1 Wednesday evening.

Capital held a 66-9 shot advantage and won 24 of a possible 29 face-offs.

WC’s freshman goalkeeper Cody Everly faced 40 shots in the first half. Gabe Shaw scored the only WC goal with Garrett Murrell being credited with an assist.

Wilmington will host Baldwin Wallace 1 p.m. Saturday.
