GOSHEN — An 11-run fifth inning was enough for Goshen to outscored Wilmington 19-14 Monday in SBAAC American Division softball.

Wilmington trailed 5-0 early then tied the game at 5-5 in the second. The Warriors put three on the board in the fourth and then 11 in the fifth for a 19-5 advantage.

They’d need all of those runs, though, as Wilmington’s offense came alive with seven runs in the fifth, 19-12. The Hurricane, who had 21 hits in the game, added a run in the sixth and one in the seventh but fell just short.

Wilmington is 2-11 overall, 1-8 in the American Division. Goshen is now 4-14 overall, 1-8 in conference play.

Jaycee Bailey of Goshen had four hits with four runs batted in. Kyleigh McClanahan homered with three runs batted in. Baili Parks of Goshen went the distance for the win. She did not strike out a batter.
