Sliding through postseasons

Action on the diamond is dwindling for the 2022 season. Clinton-Massie advanced to the second round of tournament play Thursday against Taylor with a win over Blanchester. East Clinton was scheduled to play its second round game Wednesday against Roger Bacon.

Two softball teams remain in their respective tournaments — Blanchester plays Carlisle Thursday at Kings High School in Division III and Clinton-Massie faces Kenton Ridge Friday at Miami East High School in Division II in district championship games.

Alex Jones of Clinton-Massie is the only tennis player still competing. He’ll go Saturday in the district tournament at the Lindner Family Tennis Center.

All four county schools have track and field athletes continuing their quest for a berth in the state tournament in a couple weeks.
