EC volleyball avenges lone 2021 regular season loss

LEES CREEK — Avenging last season’s only regular season defeat, East Clinton defeated Miami Trace 3-1 Saturday in a non-league volleyball match at the EC gym.

“This was a game the girls were looking forward to,” EC coach Sarah Sodini said. “It was a good home opener and a great team win. Everyone contributed.”

Lauren Runyon had two aces, 12 kills, a block, two assists and two digs. Jordan Collom had six aces, a kill, 17 assists and eight digs. Kami Whiteaker finished with two aces, seven kills and seven digs.

Libby Evanshine had an ace, 15 digs and 18 kills. Luisa Rigolin chipped in with an assist while Aubrie Simpson had three digs. Eryn Bowman had a block, an assist and a dig. Trinity Bain had a dig.

Lauren Stonewall contributed two kills, a block and two digs. Savannah Tolle had four aces, an assist and seven digs. Jozie Jones finished the match with two kills. Megan Tong had two aces, three kills, a block, 14 assists and three digs.
