East Clinton JV takes Massie down in 2 sets

ADAMS TOWNSHIP — The East Clinton junior varsity volleyball team defeated Clinton-Massie 25-16, 25-19 Monday night at Brian P. Mudd Court.

East Clinton coach Bob Malone said his squad started slowly in both matches then fought back for the win.

“We need to work on our focus the entire match and communicate effectively,” Malone said.

East Clinton, 7-2 overall and 6-0 in the SBAAC, had Emily Arnold with an ace, two points, two kills, three passes, three digs and 10 assists. Taylor Barton had three aces, four points, 13 perfect passes and 11 digs. Sydney Beiting had an ace, four points, a fill, four perfect passes and three digs. Liz Schiff contributed two aces, three points, four kills, five perfect passes and five digs.

Hadlie Clark finished with a kill, two perfect passes and seven digs while Karsyn Jamison totaled six kills, a dig and six blocks. Ava Mess had four kills, two perfect passes, three digs and two assists. Cheyenne Reed had an ace, five points, two kills, two perfect passes, six digs and six assists. Abbi Reynolds had an ace, two points, a kills and four digs. Colie Murarescu had six aces, 12 points and a kill.
