Astros whip Felicity as ‘Burg showdown looms

FELICITY — East Clinton kept pace with unbeaten Williamsburg with a 25-12, 25-14, 25-15 SBAAC National Division win Thursday over Felicity.

The Astros are 8-1 in league play with Williamsburg at 10-0. The two teams are scheduled to meet Tuesday night at the EC gym. East Clinton is 16-2 overall.

Felicity falls to 0-11 in league play.

“After a long bus ride, I’m proud of the girls’ drive and determination to play Astro volleyball,” EC coach Sarah Sodini said. “Everyone contributed and we got the win and had some fun.”

Trinity Bain had a kill, three aces, an assist and a dig. Eryn Bowman had a dig. Jordan Collom had three kills, four aces, 17 assists and eight digs. Libby Evanshine had 11 kills, two blocks, an assist and three digs. Jozie Jones had a kill, two blocks and a dig.

Luisa Rigolin had three aces and five digs while Aubrie Simpson had an ace and six digs. Lauren Stonewall finished with four kills, two blocks and a dig. Savannah Tolle had a kill, an assist and five digs. Megan Tong had five kills, an ace, eight assists, a block and four digs. Kami Whiteaker totaled seven kills and an assist.
