Falcons end skid with five-set thriller

ADAMS TOWNSHIP — Clinton-Massie ended a 10-match losing streak in thrilling fashion Thursday with a 25-18, 21-25, 25-15, 19-25, 16-14 win over Batavia at Brian P. Mudd Court.

The SBAAC American Division victory puts Massie at 5-16 overall, 1-9 in the American.

Batavia is 10-11 overall and 2-8 in league play.

“Definitely one of the best volleyball games we have played all season,” Massie coach Emilie Fisher said. “It was great to send out senior class out with a win in the last game they will play on their home court. Everyone stepped up. It was a fun game to watch and be part of.”

Anna Jones had 18 kills and 16 digs to lead Clinton-Massie.

Laila Davis had 10 kills, four aces, nine digs, an assist and a block. Natalee Hillman had six kills, four aces and 19 digs. Mackenzie Peters finished with six kills, four blocks and three digs. Sydney Schneder had two kill, five aces, 15 assists and 11 digs. Emma Redman had a kill and a dig. Olivia Ward had 23 digs and two aces. Annalyse George had 16 digs and 21 assists. Aubrey Sivert had a dig and Sophia Jones had five digs. Kinsey Beam had an ace.
