It’s been almost shutout or nothing for the Blanchester girls soccer team this season.

Blanchester defeated Fayetteville-Perry 3-0 Thursday for the team’s fourth win of the season. The last two wins have been shutouts by goalkeeper Tori Potts.

The Ladycats had lost their previous two matches without scoring. In all, 10 of the team’s 16 matches have been a shutout one way or another.

Jaida Jones had two goals, the first of which came early in the match, coach Kristina White said. Kaytlyn Throckmorton assisted.

Potts had 16 saves in the first half and BHS led 2-0 at halftime. Rylan Coyle scored on a penalty kick late in the half after Throckmorton was taken down in the penalty box.

Jones tallied another goal in the second half with Coyle getting the assist.

Potts had 26 saves for the match for Blanchester, who is 4-12 on the year.
